We are proud to welcome Alejandro Bayo, an expert in Sports Podiatry, Biomechanics, and Osteopathy, to our training team. His extensive experience and deep knowledge of running biomechanics and injury prevention will be invaluable for all professionals looking to enhance their expertise in sports health and performance.
Who is Alejandro Bayo?
Alejandro Bayo is the founder and clinical director of the Centre d’Estudis del Peu Alejandro Bayo in Santa Coloma de Gramenet (Barcelona). With over 20 years of experience, he has dedicated his career to the study, treatment, and prevention of foot pathologies, particularly in running and football.

His professional journey began with a degree in Podiatry from the University of Barcelona, where he was mentored by Dr. Jaume Albareda, gaining a profound understanding of anatomy and patient care. His continuous pursuit of knowledge led him to study Osteopathy, deepening his expertise in body mechanics and the relationship between foot function and injuries in the lower limb and spine.
His passion for biomechanics and sports podiatry led him to collaborate with Carles Vergés, a key figure in the field. Since then, Alejandro has specialized in advanced biomechanical analysis, working with elite athletes and professional clubs, including:
- Industrias Santa Coloma
- Unión Colomense de Atletismo
- UE Sant Andreu
- ACB First Team of Joventut de Badalona
Beyond clinical practice, Alejandro has been an academic lecturer at the University of Barcelona, actively participates in conferences and training programs, and integrates cutting-edge technology into his practice to provide accurate and effective diagnoses.
