Instructor
DOUG ADAMS PT, DPT, SCS, OCS, CSCS
He is a Physical Therapist who graduated from Auburn University with an undergraduate degree in Exercise Science and then completed his Doctorate of Physical Therapy in 2008 from the University of Delaware. He completed a sports residency at the University of Delaware, becoming a Board Certified Specialist. His interests in PT include Runners, ACLs, Swimmer’s Shoulder, and Leadership/mentorship. He has lectured on these topics and published multiple articles on ACLs and wearable running devices. Doug has competed nationally in triathlons for 17 years and is also a Running/Triathlon Coach. He co-founded a continuing education company called the Association of Clinical Excellence and a PT clinic called Omega Project to treat endurance athletes & runners. He is an experienced user of 2D and 3D gait analysis solutions.
Practical aspects
WILL THERE BE HANDS-ON SESSIONS WITH RUNNERS?
Yes. The course involves live demonstrations and analyses to better present the theoretical concepts.
DO I NEED TO OWN A 3D SYSTEM, OR KNOW HOW TO USE ONE?
No. This course is open to anyone interested in learning about running
biomechanics. 3D motion analysis tools will be used, but you do not need previous experience with them.
WHAT DOES THE PRICE INCLUDE ASIDE OF THE COURSE FEE?
It includes course materials & handouts, and lunch on March 23 and 24
DO WE GET A CERTIFICATE?
Yes, participants are provided with a formal certificate issued by ACE Running and STT Systems stating their participation as well as describing the qualification received.
